- (1889-1917)Palestinian writer and leader of the Nili. He was born in Gedera. He founded the Nili movement with Aaron Aaronsohn. He was shot and killed by a Bedouin on a journey to Egypt. His writings depict the world of the first generation born in Jewish settlements in Palestine.
